After 6 weeks it is time to say good-bye to this magical city. The Christmas Holidays beckon us home.
Celebrations surrounding the official start of the Christmas season were accompanied by the lighting of the Christmas Tree, fireworks and a band in the Jardin. Couples took the opportunity to show their dancing skills, while children enjoyed playing with the clowns on stilts!
We wandered the streets for one last time, drinking in all the rich sights and sounds.
The skies co-operated beautifully our last evening, with a beautiful sunset.
and the moon “winked” us a “good-bye”!
We left feeling that we had become better acquainted with yet another culture, from whom we had learned so much. And, I left part of my heart behind………… but intend to return to retrieve it!

What a fabulous way to start your retirement – good on ya!
